Five years ago, Engineering expert and company founder Paschal Quinn was confined to a hospital bed following an accident in which he suffered a broken back in three places. Mercifully assured of a full recovery, but with a four-month convalescence, Paschal took the time to delve further into an industry problem that had been troubling him for some time.

JAWS – the solution to a big problem.

Conventional pile cropping machines have to adjust their pressure to be compatible with the excavator.

With the JAWS range of Pile Breakers the excavator does not need adjustment, improving safety and reducing costs.

Paschal’s ambition to provide a better and more cost-effective solution was the foundation for JAWS, an innovative pile cropper that eradicates the knock-on effect of longer process lead times and higher costs.

Paschal and his highly skilled team combined their collective mechanical design, engineering knowledge and industry expertise to develop JAWS into a range of innovative croppers for a niche market that removes the problems experienced with traditional pile cropping machines. Fast forward to today, and our growing team is supplying croppers-for-hire and transforming construction projects throughout Ireland and GB.

Paschal Quinn

Managing DIrector

As company founder, Paschal has over twenty years of experience in piling and geotechnical engineering. The combination of Paschal’s design flair and engineering experience with a natural aptitude for problem-solving culminated in introducing JAWS to the UK and Ireland construction industry.

When the marketing team recently met with Paschal we had to find out what makes him the entrepreneur he is, so we asked him…?

If you could holiday anywhere in the world where would it be?

Paschal replied ‘ Undoubtedly I would travel down through California with the family in an RV, America style..taking in Route 66, the Grand Canyon and San Fransisco.’

2. Would you rather retire early or pursue a second career?

Paschal replied ‘ I think I’d be really good as a Private Detective, I see myself as somewhere between Columbo and Magnum P.I.

3. What two things are still on your bucket list?

Pascahl replied ‘ As well as travelling to California I’d like to visit Thailand. From a business perspectiveI’d like to secure a strong market position in the UK with offices and distribution hire facilities in Scotland and England.

Paula is our Operation Director and manages all hire transactions, confirmations and administration from the initial enquiry to the delivery of our equipment to site.

The marketing team recognised that behind every successful entrepreneur is a modern, accomplished wife, with a fulfilled career as an Operations Director, so we had to find out a little more, so we asked her the following questions?

If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Paula replied ‘I’d love to visit the USA, maybe a two or three center stay, taking in – New York (Shopping), the home of Country music – Memphis and of course looking after my family and the RV in California.

Would you rather retire early or pursue a second career?

Paula replied ‘ I’d really like to give something back and focus helping people using alternative therapies. I can’t think of anything better than making someone else feel better.’
